Founded in 1997 in Kailua-Kona by Mike Murray and Dan Hollembaek, Integrated Business Solutions of Hawaii (IBSH) was built on decades of experience and a deep commitment to the islands. Mike and Dan first began working together in the early 1980s with one of the world’s leading office equipment companies. When they brought that expertise to Hawaii, they also brought a vision: to remain local, support local businesses, and provide service with the personal touch that large, off-island corporations too often overlook.
With more than 100 years of combined experience, they understood the unique needs and values of Hawaii’s communities. They also saw how distant corporate models frequently failed to connect with those needs—becoming less efficient and losing the relationships that matter most in island business. Motivated by these insights, Mike and Dan set out to build a company that kept the best of what they had learned while leaving behind what didn’t serve Hawaii. That principle has guided IBSH from the very beginning.
